Pioneer posts yield data

Growers can now log on to the Pioneer GrowingPoint Website for local, regional and national yield data, local yield commentary and state yield summaries for corn and soybeans.

“We're happy to provide yield data on the Website so that growers can evaluate how specific Pioneer brand hybrids performed in their neighborhoods against competitors,” says Jeff Talmadge, E-business coordinator for Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.

“We hope this service allows growers to make better seed purchase decisions. As we progress through harvest, yield data is posted nightly on the Website, by county, for easy comparisons.”

Registered GrowingPoint Website visitors can access yield data information from the Website homepage by clicking on the products button. From there, growers can navigate through several options:

  • Individual performance trial data provides growers with side-by-side trial yield information accessible on a county level.
  • National and regional yield data shows how key Pioneer brand hybrids preformed against competitive hybrids in 2002.
  • Local yield commentary offers local comments and yield estimates from Pioneer professionals.
  • State yield summary derived from Pioneer trials.

Along with yield data, the Pioneer GrowingPoint Website offers weather and market information, business articles from The Wall Street Journal, growing-season customer alerts on pest management issues, the ability to request additional information on seed issues, plus agronomic advice and other production information.
