Larry Vance and Clint Williams Seed Co. have long bought peanuts in Texas and Oklahoma. Now they’re expanding into Arkansas and western Mississippi because of higher peanut prices and good peanut soils in the region. Brian Atkins and Birdsong Peanut Co. are expanding from the opposite direction for the same reasons. Vance and Atkins were speakers at a special Peanut Marketing Seminar at this year’s Mid-South Farm and Gin Show.
