Topics to be covered include varieties, disease management, weed control, fertility, inoculation, and irrigation, said Calvin Trostle, Texas AgriLife Extension Service agronomist based at Lubbock.

Both events are sponsored by Extension, the Texas Peanut Producers Board and Western Peanut Growers Association.

"Each workshop is keyed to a particular production region," Trostle said. "We will cover a variety of production-related topics, and get an update from the peanut producers board and peanut growers association. Those who attend can earn up to three continuing education units."
