Meanwhile, like their other crops, the Wattes’ pistachios have taken good advantage of this spring’s warm weather. “They’re developing about a week ahead of usual,” says Brian. “The clusters are all formed with a lot of big, beautiful nuts. The shells are close to harvest size. It looks like it could be a very nice crop, if the kernels develop.”
