The Citrus Research Board will hold a series of grower seminars in California to address new information on pest and disease issues, rootstock updates and new varieties on the horizon. The events take place June 27-29.

The seminars will take place from 8 a.m. to noon in each location, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Meeting locations and speakers are as follows:

June 27, Exeter Veterans Memorial Building, 324 N. Kaweah Ave., Exeter, Calif.

Speakers for all three events will include Beth Grafton-Cardwell, research entomologist and director of the Lindcove Research and Extension Center; Joe Morse, UC Riverside; Ed Stover, USDA-ARS, Florida; Carol Lovatt, UC Riverside.

Greg Douhan, UCCE citrus advisor, Tulare County, will speak at the Exeter meeting.

June 28, Santa Paula Community Center, 530 W. Main Street, Santa Paula, Calif.

June 29, City of Temecula Conference Room, 41000 Main St., Temecula, Calif.

Gary Bender, farm advisor emeritus in subtropical horticulture from the University of California will present a regional citrus update at the Temecula meeting.

All three events are free to attend but RSVP’s are appreciated.

Continuing education credits from the Department of Pesticide Regulation have been requested.
