Net farm income forecast to decline and highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak expands.

1. Net farm income for 2016 is forecast to drop to $66.9 billion, a 17.2% decline from 2015. If realized, this will be the lowest net farm income since 2009. Net cash farm income is projected to fall 14.6%. The drop is attributed to a decline in commodity prices. – Farm Futures
