Company Announces Farm Progress Show Lineup

Maschio Gaspardo to have a range of tools from tillage, to planting, to spraying and haymaking in its show exhibit.

Maschio Gaspardo North America recently acquired a production plant in DeWitt, Iowa, and the company plans to showcase a wide range of products at the 2014 Farm Progress Show. The MGNA lineup ranges from tillage tools to planters to hay-making equipment. Here's a sampling of products the firm plans to exhibit August 26-28, 2014.

The Dracula combined cultivator is a 20-foot-wide machine with individual front notched disks with three rows of spring reset shanks, dampened levelers and rear roller to take on crop residue management, soil loosening and seedbed preparation. The machine can be run either as a shallow-pass or deep pass machine.

The Maximetro planter is just one of the tools that will be on hand for the 2014 Farm Progress Show from Maschio Gaspardo.

Able to run at 10 to 12 miles per hour, the UFO speed disk is a quick one-pass residue management tool with a larger diameter disk with a 22-inch inclination and low concavity. That allows you to run as deep as 5-inches and throw more dirt than a conventional vertical tillage tool, the company reports.

The 24-row Maximetro planter (Shown) brings what the company calls "steering planters" into its product range. The tracks turn as tight as a tire with 5 degrees of steering radius. The Maximetro line includes four models from 16 to 48 rows with row widths of 30, 22 and 20-inches.

The company will also show the Lucy staggered planter which allows you to plant corn on30-inch rows and soybeans on 15-inch rows. The change from a 15-row, 15-in. planter to an 8-row, 30-inch machine can be done from the cab.

The Pompeo pull-type sprayer has a parallelogram boom design and a hydro-pneumatic dampening system. The machine has a steering toolbar to help make sure the sprayer stays in the track of the tractor.

The Extreme LT Eco 265 variable chamber round baler allows adjustment of bale density so farmers can make consistently tight bales. Changes to the bale density can be made from the cab including setting the pressure of the core, the center and outer layer depending on hay conditions. The machine also features an extra wide pickup.
