MilkSource Genetics Jersey cow takes home top Expo honors.

Musqie Igatola Martha-ET was awarded the honor of supreme champion at the 50th anniversary of World Dairy Expo. This winning Jersey cow is owned by MilkSource Genetics of Kaukauna and was exhibited by Shelby Ostrom. Martha was the first-place winner in the 5-year-old cow class and senior and grand champion female in the International Jersey Show.

Martha is no stranger to the colored shavings of Expo's show ring, as she was the winning 4-year-old cow in 2015 before moving on to be named grand champion of the International Jersey Show and reserve supreme champion of World Dairy Expo.

As supreme champion, Martha received the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy, a $2,000 cash award sponsored by BouMatic, a royal blanket sponsored by Agpro Inc., and a director’s chair sponsored by International Protein Sires.

Reserve supreme champion was earned by Sheeknoll Durham Arrow. Arrow was exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms of Rochester, Minn. She was named first-place aged cow, 6-year-old and older, and top bred and owned, along with senior and grand champion female during the International Holstein Show at World Dairy Expo.

As the 2016 reserve supreme champion, Arrow received a $1,500 cash award sponsored by Koffman Industries Inc., a royal blanket sponsored by E-ZEE Milking Equipment LLC, and a director’s chair sponsored by Joe and Patti Schluter.
