New from the National Hardware Show

Bits with bite [C] Milwaukee claims its Pathfinder bit is a revolution in drilling technology. The bit features six cutting edges that cut through wood - in up to 90ΓΈ angles - while boring, counter-boring or cutting sideways. The user has complete control while cutting forward when it acts like a bit, or sideways or backward when it functions like a milling cutter. Bits can be used in all 3/8-in. and larger drill chucks. They can be purchased individually, in multi-packs or in various sets. Suggested price: $23 to $31 each. Contact Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., Dept. FIN, 13135 W. Lisbon Rd., Brookfield, WI 53005, 262/781-3600.
