New Holland announces the next leap forward in four-wheel-drive tractor innovation and productivity with the new TJ Series II tractors. The six models, ranging from 280 hp to 530 hp, increase efficiency with new, higher levels of power, comfort and control.

Meeting customer demand for more muscle to pull increasingly larger implements, the new TJ Series II tractors are more powerful than ever, with 530 horsepower available on the largest TJ530 model. TJ Series II tractors achieve impressive power growth of up 54 hp and a 40% torque rise to pull bigger, heavier equipment, even in tough conditions. Fuel-efficient, six-cylinder EPA Tier III compliant “green engines” offer exceptional power and torque rise as well as air emissions compliance.

Greater engine reliability

In addition to higher horsepower engines, increased oil pump and engine cooling capacities provide greater engine reliability and durability. Oil pump capacity is now up to 25 percent greater than on previous TJ models, providing more engine lubrication for longer life. Engine cooling capacity has also been increased and a special water filtration system filters out contaminants and adds a conditioner to maximize engine reliability.

The new TJ Series II tractors feature capacity-matched frames based on horsepower. A longer wheelbase on all frames and unique “center-pull” design adds to the stability, and enables the TJ Series II to deliver power where it counts — at the drawbar.

The row-crop chassis (TJ280 and TJ330) makes the TJ Series II the only row-crop 4WD tractor with true 30-inch row capability.

The larger chassis (TJ380 and TJ430) and high-capacity chassis (TJ480 and TJ530) versions are designed for heavy-duty agricultural and commercial uses.

Heavy-duty scraper models (TJ380HD, TJ430HD, TJ480HD and TJ530HD) are rugged, wheel scraper models equipped and weighted specifically for the rigorous demands of scraping, grading, leveling and earthmoving. Equipped with heavy-duty final drives, thick bar axles, Reynolds Quick Hitch scraper drawbar and diff locks, TJ Series II scraper models are operational with 16-, 17- or 18-yard scrapers

The massive power of the TJ Series II is matched by transmissions that provide a choice of work speeds and smooth-shifting performance. A 16×2 full powershift or 24×6 Hi-Low synchroshift transmission (TJ280, TJ330, TJ380 and TJ430 only) are available.

The clutch-free, push-button 16-speed powershift transmission now features wider gears and extra clutch plates for more torque-carrying capacity. The operator can conveniently start travel in any of the first eight gears.

Also new on powershift transmissions is the convenience of AutoShift, which minimizes manual shifting during both field and road operations. In field operation, AutoShift automatically downshifts to maintain engine rpm and torque as load increases, then upshifts as load decreases. In road operation, AutoShift automatically selects the proper gears based on throttle input and road speed. Fuel-efficient AutoShift is standard on all powershift models.

The Custom Headland Management System, standard on powershift models with performance instrumentation, can be easily programmed to make complex headland turns a snap. One switch controls as many as 30 functions such as remotes, throttles, gear shifts and 3-point hitch to save valuable time at every turn.

Fully synchronized

The flexible 24×6 Hi-Low synchroshift transmission is fully synchronized to allow easy shifting on the go with a rolling load. Nine speeds are available in the 4- to 8.5-mph working range.

For even greater convenience and control, TJ Series II tractors are available with factory-installed IntelliSteer auto-steering system. IntelliSteer provides state-of-the-art automated steering guidance and GPS-satellite technology to reduce inputs and enhance operator comfort and productivity for maximum field performance. The system automatically guides the tractor in straight lines with an accuracy of +/- 1 inch at speeds up to 18 mph.

Depending on the model, there are a total of 21 halogen work lamps that enable efficient night-time work. Eight of the lamps are adjustable. Up to eight high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps provide 350 feet of illumination to the marker trail during night operations. For added safety, rotating beacon lights can be added.

New cab exit lighting is standard. The operator can set the lighting to remain on for up to two minutes after the key is switched off to safely light the way out of the cab when it's dark.

Hydraulic system option

New Holland's exclusive MegaFlow hydraulic option provides huge flow capacity and flexibility to power numerous functions at the same time without hindering performance. MegaFlow pumps up to an industry-leading 94 gallons per minute through two separate hydraulic pumps to meet the demand of power-hungry implements such as beet lifters, air seeders and laser land-leveling equipment. By utilizing two separate pumps, MegaFlow delivers dedicated hydraulic flow to the implement even while operating multiple hydraulic functions. Four remotes are standard, with an option of up to nine remotes.

The new TJ Series II also provides the highest wheel tractor hitch lift capacity at up to 19,620 pounds. With this optional three-point hitch, even extremely heavy mounted planters, cultivators and specialized heavy rippers won't weigh it down to do more work in a single pass.

The operator of a TJ Series II tractor works in comfort in the quiet, spacious cab that features a large workspace and finger-tip controls. The cab offers unmatched visibility with nearly 131 cubic feet of glass and 360-degree visibility.

No matter what the terrain, the comfortable new AutoComfort seat provides an ultra-smooth ride. The four-way adjustable heated suspension seat monitors vehicle ride and automatically adjusts to provide shock absorption and the heat control cycles on and off with a comforting massaging action to help reduce operator fatigue.
