Three Wisconsin dairy leaders will be honored at the 2018 World Dairy Expo. They are:

• Dairyman of the Year Pete Kappelman, Meadow Brook Dairy Farms LLC, Two Rivers

• Industry Persons of the Year Dr. Dan Hornickel and Dr. Chris Keim, Sunshine Genetics Inc., Whitewater

Recipients of the 2018 World Dairy Expo Recognition Awards will be honored at the 52nd annual event on Oct. 3. The honorees were nominated and selected by their peers for their contributions and excellence in the dairy industry and their community.

Other dairy leaders to be honored at Expo this year include:

• Dairy Woman of the Year Jeanette Sheehan, Sheeknoll Farms, Rochester, Minn.

• International Person of the Year Alastair Pearson, World Wide Sires China Co. Ltd., Beijing

All five of these dairy leaders will all be recognized at World Dairy Expo’s Dinner with the Stars on Oct. 3, in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center. The 52nd World Dairy Expo will be held Oct. 2-6 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
