Dakota Digest: Nathan Jensen to oversee corporate agribusiness development.

Nathan Jensen is the new senior vice president of the Agribusiness Division of First Dakota National Bank. Jensen is overseeing corporate agribusiness development and is serving as a member of the Agribusiness Division leadership team for First Dakota’s 19 locations.

Jensen has worked in ag credit analysis, managed large ag client relationships, provided leadership to ag lending teams and led a capital markets department focusing on loan participations and syndications. He will have an office in First Dakota’s headquarters in Yankton, S.D., as well as its branch location in Beresford, S.D.

Jensen graduated with a degree in food marketing and agribusiness management and also holds a master’s in business administration from California State Polytechnic University. He has been active in many community and state activities and has served on many boards and committees, including the South Dakota Ag Foundation board, the South Dakota Governor’s Ag Advisory Committee and the South Dakota Value Added Finance Authority board. He’s been treasurer of the Beresford Economic Development Corp. board; and president of the Central Plains Dairy Association, the Watchdog Education Foundation board and the Emmanuel Lutheran Church council. He is a South Dakota Ag and Rural Leadership alumnus.

Jensen and his wife, Kristin, live in Beresford with their two children, Grant and Addison.
