This week we would like to welcome Jacqueline Holland as the new Farm Futures grain market analyst. You may have already seen her market reports online. Jacquie grew up on a northern Illinois dairy farm, so we knew she’d be OK with those early-morning deadlines. She obtained a bachelor’s in finance and agribusiness from Illinois State University, and a master’s in ag economics from Purdue University, where her research focused on large-farm decision-making and precision crop technology. Before joining Farm Progress, Jacquie worked in the food manufacturing industry as a financial and operational analyst at Pilgrim’s and Leprino Foods.

Jacquie replaces senior market analyst Bryce Knorr, a fixture at Farm Futures for over 30 years. Bryce was the engine that drives Farm Futures, serving in several editorial roles during his illustrious career. Bryce is one of the last of his kind, an analyst who is also an outstanding journalist; read more about Bryce on p. 32 of our January issue.

Although Bryce is sailing off into retirement, he will remain a weekly voice of reason as part of Ag Marketing IQ, our new guest market blogger program. Bryce is joined by other grain market analysts offering a fresh take on commodities. Check them out at FarmFutures.com.
