Three soybean farmers from North Dakota were reappointed to another three-year term on the United Soybean Board. The three USB boards members from North Dakota follow:

Darren Kadlec of Pisek. Reappointed to another three-year term, Kadlec has served on USB since 2016. Previously, he sat on the North Dakota Soybean Council from 2001 to 2008, including a time as chairman.

Matt Gast of Valley City. Serving on USB since 2019, Gast was reappointed to serve another three years and is part of the executive committee. He sat on the North Dakota Soybean Council from 2016 to 2019, including a time as secretary.

Ryan Richard of Horace. Reappointed to another term, Richard has served on USB since 2019. He sat on the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association board from 2011 to 2018, including a time as vice president.

Also representing North Dakota on USB is Cindy Pulskamp of Hillsboro, who is fulfilling her first three-year term.

“We congratulate Darren, Matt and Ryan on their reappointments to USB,” says Stephanie Sinner, executive director of NDSC. “All three bring many years of industry experience and leadership to the board, and we know they will continue to represent North Dakota and all U.S. soybean farmers exceptionally well. We respect and admire their dedication to enhancing and strengthening our industry on a state, national and international level.”

The soybean checkoff is supported entirely by soybean producers who contribute one-half of 1% of the market price of each bushel of soybeans sold. The North Dakota Soybean Council supports USB by submitting 50% of collected state soybean checkoff revenue to USB’s national checkoff program. NDSC oversees the investment of the remaining 50%.

As stipulated in the federal Soybean Promotion, Research and Consumer Information Act, the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service has oversight responsibilities for USB and the soy checkoff. For more information on the United Soybean Board, visit unitedsoybean.org.
