The Iowa chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers has presented its 2021 Early Career Award to Grant Aschinger, accredited farm manager.

Aschinger was presented the award virtually at the February annual meeting of the Iowa Chapter of ASFMRA. This award recognizes an outstanding early-career member of the Iowa Chapter for contributions to the chapter, ASFMRA and the profession.

Aschinger, a partner at Stalcup Ag Service in Storm Lake, Iowa, is a farm manager and licensed real estate agent, serving farms in 15 counties in northwest and north-central Iowa.

Aschinger received the accredited farm manager (AFM) designation from ASFMRA in 2015. He has served on both Iowa Chapter and national ASFMRA committees since joining the organization in 2013. Aschinger is serving his second of three years as a director on the ASFMRA Iowa Chapter board of directors.

In the community, Aschinger serves on the Galva-Holstein Community School Board, the Holstein Country Club Board and the Holstein Community Rec Center Advisory Committee. Aschinger also coaches youth baseball, softball, basketball and football in the community.
