AGCO OFFERS a solution to high fuel prices with its new RT series tractors, which the company claims are more fuel efficient due to their new engines and new transmission option. The company developed the four models for heavy-duty row-crop and utility applications. They have fully structural AGCO 6.6-l engines and PowerMaxx continuously variable transmissions. Power of the new tractors ranges from 100 to 155 hp. Both the RT100A and the RT120A offer the new Auto-6 transmission with six powershift ratios in four ranges of clutchless shifting as an option.

The new models use a cast-iron block that serves as a load-bearing portion of the tractors. The variable-speed fan ensures optimum engine temperature, reduces fuel consumption and ensures easier start-up. They also have a 3-pt. hitch that can haul up to 12,500 lbs.

Base list price for the new RT series tractors ranges from $64,827 to $110,920. Contact AGCO, Dept. FIN, 4205 River Green Pkwy., Duluth, GA 30096, 770/813-9200, visit agco or, or circle 184.
