California farmers grow about 400 different crops that are harvested throughout the year.
Much of the state's agricultural production happens in the fertile soils of the San Joaquin Valley, where irrigation water is piped and pumped to fields to produce a cornucopia of products destined for grocery stores and restaurants.
These are just a few of the many crops California farmers are growing and harvesting this time of year.
