Mike Pearson kicks off the show with reports from the field on harvest progress. Mike talks Dale Durchholz, Grain Cycles, to take a deep dive on the corn and soybean harvest season and how the USDA report has impacted soybean markets.

Dale Durchholz, Grain Cycles, rejoins Mike to talk about the USDA corn report. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby is looking at technology called the “Stalk Devastator” that attaches to corn heads.

In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson is looking into why food costs are so high. Mike talks with P.J. Huffstutter or Reuters News whose article Orion cites about how supply chain issues are affecting harvest.

Part 4

In the BASF Plan Smart Grow Smart series, Max talks with young farmer Will Cox, Ramseur, North Carolina about how his operation is affected by pests and disease. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins the show the weekly weather forecast.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a Farmall 560 and Mounted Picker that will be available at the mecum Gone Farmin’ auction Nov. 11-13 in East Moline, Ill. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Mike Pearson chats with Madisen Carns, Indiana State Sentinel, she tells Mike what the role of sentinel is all about. Despite not coming from an agriculture background, she’s developed a passion for the field and will pursue a degree at Purdue.

Part 7

Max talks with Matt Helms, Newleaf Symbiotics, about how their technology will affect growers need for inputs and yields.
