Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson start off the show with Dale Moore of the American Farm Bureau Federation on progress made with the USMCA deal. Next, Al Gustin reports from ranches in North Dakota about weather struggles in the cattle industry. Dennis Smith of Archer Financial Services joins Max and Mike to talk about prospects for livestock markets, which looks pretty good.

Part 2

Dennis Smith of Archer Financial Services rejoins Max and Mike to talk about pork and beef exports, particularly regarding China and holiday turkeys. Max reports from the American Angus Association convention with that organization’s Mark McCully who talks about the successes they’ve had this year. Mike reports on the latest USDA WASDE report. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment discusses the latest earbud tech from Apple.

Part 3

Max talks with Tony Orlando, president of Firestone Ag, about what’s happening with the storied tire company. Orion Samuelson checks in from the World Dairy Expo, profiling Randy Shaver, named Industry Person of the Year at the event.

Part 4

Max talks with CLAAS of America’s Cathrina Claas-Muhlhauser and Eric Raby about the “seed green” paint on their equipment. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins Max and Mike to look at the forecast for the week ahead.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1941 Ford 9N owned by Dr. Andre Charlebois in Watertown, New York. This tractor is notable for its canvas winter cab. Mike Pearson profiles Aplington-Parkersburg FFA from Parkersburg, Iowa. They are starting their own aquaponics business among many other pursuits. Member Elena Mulder talks about her SEA project which was a vegetable garden business. In Samuelson Sez, Orion talks about pollution and the EPA’s recent decision that plowing ground is a pollutant.

Part 7

Max Armstrong talks to farmer John Kestel of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetary whose mission is to make sure all veterans have their final respects.
