Part 1

Max Armstrong is at the desk this week and starts off with a conversation with Case IH Global President Scott Harris about what planting season means for manufacturers, especially in a challenging environment like we have now. Mike Pearson is on next, interviewing Darin Newsom of Darin Newsom Analysis to talk about money managers continuing to buy commodities as a hedge against inflation. They also discuss President Biden’s E15 announcement this week and what might happen if prices keep creeping higher. Then they turn to wheat and the weather challenges there.

Part 2

Darin Newsom of Darin Newsom Analysis rejoins Mike to discuss the soybean market, and the Brazilian crop. Next up they talk cattle. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby looks at the latest in airless tweel tire technology.

Part 3

Max has an interview with Rural Radio Network’s Susan Littlefield to talk about what’s happening in Nebraska.

Part 4

Next up, Max talks with Steve Pitstick, President, Illinois Soybean Association about what the delay in planting this year might mean. Plus they get into all the other challenges facing farmers this year. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins the show the weekly weather forecast.

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1931 John Deere GP that was restored as family project by the Clifton family in Jefferson, Wisconsin. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Max Armstrong chats with Mackenzie Ott, Ohio State FFA Treasurer, she joined on the advice of her sister. She takes a lot of pride in sharing her story so she can hear how others have been shaped by FFA. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson is celebrating a long-time-coming court decision in favor of the pork industry against California’s Prop 12.

Part 7

Max wraps up the show with a profile of agriculture aviator Jim Perrin, who explains how the flights are organized and managed.
