Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson start off with all the happenings in Washington, especially concerning trade issues and the farm bill.  Hearing from the several American Farm Bureau leaders and Dep. Ag Secretary Bill Northey. Naomi Bloom of Stewart-Peterson talks with Max and Orion about what’s happening as harvest nears and weather turns challenging.

Part 2

Naomi Bloom of Stewart-Peterson rejoins Max and Orion and they turn their attention to how the elections in November might affect trade deals and the markets. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment checks in with Jacob Wade who attended the Farm Progress Show and talks about some tech he saw and then they turn to what their trials are telling them this year. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the Western United States.  Max previews the schedule for Farm Progress Show.

Part 3

Max Armstrong introduces a report from the Farm Progress Show where he sits down with Glenn Danuser of Danuser Machine Company to talk about their small firm that started as a blackshop where they invented a post-hole digger.  They continue to innovate around useful tools for the farm. Next, Chad Colby takes a look at LED flashlights.

Part 4

Max and Orion hear from Matt Jungmann, director of Husker Harvest Days, about all the upgrades to the show site, including paved roads, great drainage and upgraded Wi-Fi.  Chad Colby gets a harvest update from Jacob Wade in McLean, Ill. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the Eastern United States. In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1957 Massey Harris 444 Gas that is set to be auctioned at the Mecum Auction in Davenport, Iowa, Nov. 8-10, 2018.

Part 5

In the farm broadcaster of the week segment Max and Orion chat with Lynn Ketelsen of Linder Farm Network in Owatonna, Minn.  Lynn talks about the successes at the Minnesota State Fair.

Part 6

Orion Samuelson profiles Huntland FFA in Huntland, Tenn. Where the team has a greenhouse. Member Kara Smith tells us how she came to really love FFA. In Samuelson Says, Orion says that  there might be “New Career Opportunities” for people who seem to be professional protestors. Greg Soulje offers his look at the weather for the week ahead.

Part 7

Max introduces a report from Delaney Howell on Southeast Iowa’s Red Fern Farm, where they grow a chestnut crop.
