Part 1

Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson kick off the show with a check in on what went happened during Ag Day celebrations at the USDA. Next Mike talks with Dion Pearce of Mosaic about efforts they are making towards innovating in the biologicals market. Mike talks markets with Duwayne Bosse, Bolt Marketing, with a look at news out of the Fed around interest rates. They also look at what funds are up to with the some surprises. They wrap up the first half with a look at wheat.

Max introduces the Ag States of America, this time out, host Charlie Behrens profiles Alabama, which is home to Dothan, the peanut capital of the U.S. and where there’s more cotton acres than corn or wheat. Next, Max and Mike then reflect on who they saw at Ag Day.

Max interviews Jim Steinke of Ag Express about their business of repairing electronics and their expanding business with OEM equipment and their own line. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at the weather for the week ahead.

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces 1941 Farmall H, that seems to be painted the “wrong” color. Learn why it got the special color treatment. In the FFA Chapter Tribute segment, Mike talks with Karstyn Cantrell, National FFA Central Region VP, she comes from a cow-calf family in Oklahoma. She ended up in this role because she wanted to give back to the organization that brought her so much.

Max discusses the recent WOTUS ruling by the EPA with Farm Bureau president Zippy Duvall.
