Max Armstrong's Daily Updates

MORNING Midwest Digest, Sept. 22, 2020

Max Armstrong talks about gas prices, a horse on the expressway, crop conditions and harvest pace, the passing of a farm broadcaster and fall leaf colors.

Gas at the pump is 18 percent lower than a year ago.

A man rode a horse down the expressway in Chicago during rush hour yesterday, but wasn't charged with animal abuse, yet.

The corn crop condition improved slightly, and harvest is slightly behind average. Soybean crops are holding steady in condition and harvest pace.

Colorado farm broadcaster Evan Slack has passed away.

Does it feel like fall? It's officially here this morning, even though fall colors haven't peaked yet in most areas.
