Public opinion is changing in Kentucky. Five years ago, three-quarters of Kentucky residents polled favored keeping a statue of Jefferson Davis, who served as president of the Confederate States of America. On Saturday, the statue was removed from the state Capitol after a state commission voted to take it out.

A GoFundMe page for Springfield officer is approaching $10,000. Officer Mark Priebe suffered multiple injuries after he was struck and pinned by an SUV outside the police department. He may never walk again. Last year, his wife was diagnosed with cancer.

U.S. Senate candidate Kris Kobach had four guns stolen from his pickup that was parked at a Wichita hotel this weekend. A spokeswoman said Kobach always carries a handgun for protection, but he had some long guns in his pickup for a recreational shooting event.

The Big 3 automakers are pushing plants to pump out vehicles at breakneck pace. The Detroit plants were idled for 7 weeks due to the pandemic. Sales of pickup trucks have been holding up better than cars or SUVs.
