Max Armstrong tells us that it’s Missing Children’s Day. It’s a day set aside to remember the children missing and the people working to find them. IT was set aside by former U.S. President Ronald Regan.

And a permanent memorial has been built in Frankfurt, Kentucky for the 18,000 killed by the COVID pandemic.

Plus, in Agribusiness, a new report out by the USDA looked at the number of farm labor. There are now 631,000 people working on farms and ranches—that’s up 3 percent from 2022. The average wage is $18,08 an hour which is up 5 percent from 2022.

And a study looked at whether restaurant goers prefer physical menus or the QR Codie kind that can pull up the menu on your phone. It appears, consumers prefer old-fashioned physical menus by a 9 out of 10 margin.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
