Max Armstrong talks about the number of automobiles being driven across the country with recall repairs needed. According to Car Fax, there are 2.5 million on the roads that needs repairs that are deemed serious enough to cause an accident. The lack of repairs being completed are due to too many recalls and consumer empathy.

Plus, ATV accidents increase as the school year winds down for many children. A 12-year old Missouri boy died over the weekend trying to round a bend too quickly.

And the bomb squad in northwest Indiana was called to a home after a grenade went off. A family had been going through a grandfather's possessions when the grenade exploded killing one man and injuring two teenagers.

American pork producers are not the only wants hurting due to low prices. New Zealand farmers are reporting the lowest number of livestock on farms there in 11 years. Plus, four suicides in five weeks in Holland are blamed on the livestock limits there.

And, toilet planters? Listen to find out how one woman is upcycling toilets.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
