Max Armstrong tells us that Quebec, Canada, is in desperate need of some rainfall as wildfires rage. The wildfires are bringing smoke into the USA. The upside it is helping to bring beautiful sunrises and sunsets to many. The Canadian military is being called into help fight the blazes.

A press conference is expected in Davenport, Iowa about the apartment complex tragedy. It's been over a week since the apartment fell and debris is being removed constantly. Rescue workers have been working 12 hour shifts there.

Plus, the World Pork Expo hits the Iowa State fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa this week. However, pork producers have been struggling as they have been getting prices so low-- they haven't seen them in 25 years. The demand is expected to stay strong as grilling season is here.

And concerts were held across the Midwest. Max Armstrong does have one request-- the concerts to sound like the artists recordings.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
