Max Armstrong reports on a rising savings rate, a jump in boat sales, a promised hearing on the cattle markets and higher prices for postage stamps

May 31, 2021

Max Armstrong shares that the pandemic provided little economic impact on many families with the personal savings rate ballooning well above where it was before the pandemic. Max notes that boat sales jumped 35% in the past year, and in Wisconsin the National Weather Service is putting out an experimental inland lakes forecast. From This Week in Agribusiness, there's news that Senate Ag leaders are promising a hearing on the cattle market situation. The cost of postage is going up in August, with the postal service boosting a stamp from 55 to 58 cents. And Max shares a special holiday sentiment.
