Max Armstrong examines the environmental toll of lab cultured meat. Proponents say it is more environmentally friendly. However, it is grown in the same media as pharmaceuticals. So this is the question: Is it a pharmaceutical or a food product?

And then the question is whether or not it is better for the environment? A study out of California found that lab cultured meat is grown with 4-25 percent more greenhouse gasses than beef.
