Max Armstrong tells listeners that pork producers may be disappointed by the court decision over Proposition 12 in California this week-- but there are a lot of positives happening for the industry.

A survey shows that pork is a priority for consumers with consumption holding steady at 51-52 pounds a year per person.

Consumers are also shopping for pork and coming back to pork for a place on the dinner plate.

Another good thing is that pork has withstood the inflation increases felt by other farmers in the past couple of years and the value is consistent in the meat case.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
