Max Armstrong offers a look at last week’s World Agriculture Supply Estimates report released by USDA last week. There was a surprise in the report, with traders expecting 685-million-bushel crop for hard red winter wheat production. However, the report came in 95 million bushels lower. That sent wheat prices up. Max observes that wheat has been in the news due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The U.S. has dropped wheat seedings which peaked in 1981, and planted acres have fallen. Max offers insights on this crop.
Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
