Max Armstrong says that drought and wildfire and other weather-related disasters will continue to hit agriculture, and they cost a lot in crop losses. Five states accounted for two-thirds of crop losses last year. Unanticipated events pose the real threat to risk management, and for some crops, risk management options just aren’t available through crop insurance. Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
