Max Armstrong says a lesson was learned in Brazil that will be hard to beat. He was visiting Brazilian waterfalls with his cameraman Phil and farmers. The bus tour company they were with reassured them that their $50,000 camera would be safe while they toured a waterfall.
However, when they got back on the bus, the video camera was gone! The bus driver had fallen asleep and someone got into the back of the bus and had stolen it.
Max Armstrong quickly offered an award through the police and within 20 minutes, an 11-year-old child was found getting into a cab with the video camera.
When Max and Phil went to the police department, they found a jail full of children which was dark and dank and the youth only had underwear on their bodies.
It was a long evening, but the camera was recovered.
Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
