Max Armstrong's Daily Updates

Farm Progress America, June 16, 2022

Max Armstrong talks about opposition for Prop 12.

Farm organizations are paying a lot of attention to what happens in California with Proposition 12. NPPC chairman Terry Woelters says that there's a group in society that wants to inflict mandates, and those people don't understand modern agriculture. There's pork available to feed the world, and pork producers are ready, but mandates are making it difficult.

The ag sector is concerned that Prop 12 could happen across the country. Some senators have spoken out about the impact Prop 12 could have in the U.S., from climate change to wildlife trafficking and labor abuses, and more.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
