Max Armstrong offers an update in hemp production. The results for the crop have been mix since first approved by the 2018 Farm Bill. A recent series of meetings in Texas drew more than traditional farmers and Max offers a look at the changing economic picture for this crop. In addition, Max shares that Texas A&M reported that 400,000 acres of hemp were planted, but it's possible that as little as 40,000 could meet U.S. demand for CBD oil.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
