Max Armstrong recalls the movie The Graduate, where a young man was advised in the value of “plastics.” Recently, Max got some advice on another business opportunity – proso millet. The grain takes less water and little to no nitrogen. A company in Ames, Iowa – Dryland Genetics - is working to develop new versions of this crop which offers potential as a crop for the Western Corn Belt. Max offers insight on ways this crop is consumed in other parts of the world.
