Max Armstrong ponders how farmer-funded programs help build demand and find new uses for commodities. Max cites Minnesota's Corn Innovation Grant program, which is calling for innovation ideas from farmers, FFA, 4-H students and researchers. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 15, 2021. The idea is to provide farmers with funding to research a concept or a best practice. Initially, the focus was nutrient management, but that has expanded. Max shares details of this year's program.
