Max Armstrong shares some insight about the value of export markets to the U.S. animal industry. For beef, the export number is about $425 per head of the fed cattle harvested. While down 3% from a year ago but Max reports that in the first 10 months the value was up 17%. For hogs, October pork export value was $64 per head, up about 14% from a year ago.
