Max Armstrong talks crop damage from hurricanes. He notes that the incidence of the damage has been timed closer to harvest, right when crops are ready to be picked. The combination of wind and water take a tremendous toll on crops and livestock. Add in the damage to the infrastructure – including those grain export facilities along the coast – are a concern as well.
