August 19, 2022

Max Armstrong reports on the spotted wing drosophila, which is creating significant damage to fruit crops, which has been a problem for more than 30 years. The blueberry is a primary target for this spotted-wing fly. The answer is to bring a predatory wasp to take care of the fly. The Samba wasp lays its eggs inside the fly and it then consumes its prey. Max shares more details about the damage caused by the spotted wing drosophila.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
