World Food Prize president cites importance of agriculture and roads

The Vietnam War marked a turning point in the lives of many Americans. One of those was Kenneth Quinn, who entered the war as a young Foreign Service officer and later became president of the World Food Prize, the award created by the late Norman Borlaug. Quinn talked about his experiences with the war and with Dr. Borlaug in a speech at a media dinner sponsored by DuPont Pioneer at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates in Des Moines, Iowa.
