Farmers have plenty of experience with wild markets. A 10% move in grain futures happens most years, sometimes occurring multiple times in a season. But when stock markets tumbled 10% it sent shock waves around the world. And not only share prices were affected. Everything from currencies and energy to interest rates appeared to be in play.
