Soybean deals are for 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 crops

USDA on Tuesday said private exporters reported the sales of:

• Nearly 6.0 million bushels of soybeans to unknown destinations. The deal includes nearly 3.8 million of the 2016/2017 crop and 2,2 million of the 2017/2018 crop.

• About 4.1 million bushels of soybeans to Mexico. The deal includes 1.54 million of the 2016/2017 crop and about 2.6 million of the 2017/2018 crop.

• About 4.9 million bushels of 2016/2017 corn to unknown destinations.

The marketing year for corn and soybeans begins Sep. 1.
