Spring wheat futures are higher at midday and pulling winter wheat markets higher. The gains follow a crop tour in the northern Plains forecasting lower spring wheat yields this year due to poor plant conditions following hot, dry weather early in the growing season.
Corn and soybeans also are a little higher as forecasts favor drier conditions in the Midwest next week.
