Crop markets tumble as forecasts call for rain

Active cash corn sales added weight to the market

Corn, soybean and wheat markets were lower to sharply lower on Monday as forecasts put rain this week in the dry areas of the Midwest and northern Plains.

The  news had traders anxious to take back much of last week’s gains.

Active farmer selling of corn last week likely had hedge selling in that market.
