Crop markets higher as traders await Fed’s announcement

Corn, soybeans and wheat markets are a little higher near midday as traders await the Federal Reserves’ 1 p.m. central time announcement regarding interest rates and the state of the economy.

Cold weather moved into the Midwest this week to raise some concerns about soft red winter wheat. Some of that crop may have started spring growth, particularly in the Ohio River Valley.
