Corn, wheat make new contract lows overnight

Crops still look in good shape as outside markets weaken again. (audio)

Grain futures are lower across the board this morning. Corn and winter wheat futures made new contract lows, while soybeans ended a modest two-week rally, getting a double dose of bearish news. Monday’s Crop Progress report showed corn and soybeans in decent shape, with no widespread problems. Agriculture may also see some pressure today from outside markets. Stocks sold off across the global after the latest North Korean missile test unnerved investors.
