Corn, wheat higher, while soybean slip

Trade looks ahead to USDA acreage numbers. (audio)

Price action was fairly quiet in crop markets Wednesday morning, with corn and wheat markets a little higher and soybeans lower.

Traders await USDA’s acreage and production numbers that are due to be released Thursday morning on the first day of USDA’s annual two-day Outlook Forum. Corn acreage in 2017 is expected to be down from 2016 while soybean acres should increase.
