Corn and soybean futures moved in narrow ranges this morning ahead of USDA progress data later today. The data should show corn planting nearly done and the crop at about 67% good to excellent. It may be another week before USDA releases a soybean rating.
Winter wheat futures are lower as drier weather is forecast for the central Plains, while spring wheat is higher again.
