Soybeans are trying to get a rally going.

Farmers made some progress with corn harvest last week and attempted to wrap up soybean harvest. Yields are moving closer to USDA projections.

Expect lots of news this week, with Crop Progress reports out this afternoon. The reports will have the first winter wheat conditions. Farmers in Kansas are expected to plant less wheat.

Grain and soybean crush reports are out Wednesday, with grain crush telling us how efficient ethanol plants are and soybean crush indicating protein quality of soybean crop.

A jobs report is due on Friday.

Also, Trump is expected to name a new Federal Reserve chairman who is more hawkish on interest rates. Interest rates will likely be announced at December meeting.
